Not really, your I-485 information has to be put in the system first.
If I am first in the list, base don the claculation, I will get it in 5 minutes,Thats true, the last person will have to wait for 20 months:)

Spoke to Congresswoman Office personnel in CA . Congresswoman Eshoo office staff and Congresswoman Lofgren office staff. Going to contact Senator Clinton. I had contributed towards her Presidential Campaign.
Going to meet Congress Congresswoman Eshoo staff next week.
Do you have your 485 approved ? If not, you are not supposed to contribute to any political campaigns. You have to be a GC holder or citizen to contribute to political campaigns. Its illegal otherwise.

There is a link on immigrationvoie.org website "when can I get my GreenCard" and to my utter shock when I clicked that I got the message that I will get my GC around 2026.
There is a checkbox for spill over visas also, and I selected that thinking that it will move my dates before...but it got moved only till 2024.
So does it really mean that I will get the GC around 2024 or is it just plain maths which doesn't goes practically with the changing scenarios.
Because right now the current PD is Feb'2005 and it looks like withing 2,3 yrs it should reach Dec'2007, but this data is just my guess OR more of intuition, I'm not sure what will happen.
In this forum there are many experienced people, if they can throw some light on this, it would really help. Otherwise things are sounding very depressing !!

Shan - I totally understand your frustration and where you are coming from. I had the same level of aggression when i first started participated in IV activities and I am sure, a lot of people want to pursue things in an aggressive manner.
But lets calm down for a minute.
The OP initially contacted IV after googling up and came across our threads and I spoke to him. He was frustrated with opening two MTRs and was looking into mandamus.
I requested him to do the following - exhaust all adminisrative procedures first. Contact Ombudsman, Senators, Congressman, try all options.
See - these kind of decisions are not easy and not not everyone understands this stuff.
Once you go to court, it may take a couple of hearings and you will also have the other side arguing their cause.
We must always remember that - we are in a civilised nation and people on the other side are willing to listen and try to resolve stuff in the best way possible
- Lobbying, awareness etc.. are basic principles of IV .
we are not here to teach someone a lesson or fight with someone - we are here because we want our issues resolved and we must work in the best possible way.
Nevertheless - one must know how litigation also works in case that is the only option.
I request people to please share their ideas and thoughts on how to tackle such issues.

How would I-140 approvals impact the availability of visa numbers and isnt spill over already happening,ie, removal of country caps, as we have seen last year,last quarter as well in July VB?
More I140 approvals (of those who have already filed their 485) means more 485 eligible to be adjudicated. Longer the queue and more efficient the USCIS is - slower the PD movement.

Absolutely , Do you have the address and responsible person for DOL,NSC,TSC? I just want to modify the letter and want to seek each ones responsibilty.

Have all those visas made available been used up so far by USCIS? I doubt it.
They are not coming clean on this...first they said they used up 60K visas, now they are saying they worked over wkend to use 25K VISAS...
Its a big scandal....Just to prevent us from filing...

Clarification - i meant Senior Member based on seniority on this Site and not based on age :). This idea has been brain stormed many times in the past and ruled out by many as it is not in our best interests and also not workable. Members who have been visting this site for some time would know and hence the comment about Seniority :)

Of course for this to work there has to be a signficant number of participants, otherwise actually nothing is going to work. And even with significant participation, there are no guarantees: look at how many people called Sen Sessions, but still made no difference.
Last, dont you guys get vacation?? Who is talking abut losing money? If you are paid hourly then dont take part.
and if you dont agree you dont need me to tell you dont be a part of this.

You should be happy as you have a very old PD.
As u mentioned that you applied in mid june but the receipt date is mid july. What is your notice date? I thought that receipt date is the date when uscis receives your application. I may be wrong.
RECIPT DATE is the date when they input your info in the system. Before inputting in the system they check I140,medicals,etc. Notice date has no bearing. If your packet looks fine you get your receipt number and then you will be able to view the status on uscis.gov. The status will be something like "On july 9th 2007 we received your applivction ..............etc"

We all are going through hard time, but we do not need to display our hard feelings for someone through the forum! If you are upset at someone or if you have complains, email the Admin or a Super Moderator.
Do not write rude. Be a little professional at your behavior and communicate professionally.
Now, the fool is trying to change the subject by asking ppl to join the rally. Why in the world wud ppl trust him? The thread is barely 10 pages and after realizing that therez no point in discussing about what this thread is all about, he has shifted subject loyalites. How lame and insane is this guy? Pappu, LogicLife where r u guyz? Why dont u ban him?
