Hello everyone,
I had filed for my I485 on 19th July at Nebraska. My 90 days are getting over on 19th Oct. Still I have not received any receipts for I-485,EAD,I-131.
My lawyer is going to call USCIS to inquire about my case.
Does any one had experience calling USCIS after 90 days were over and the USCIS tracked your application and you got your receipts.
Would be great if any one can share there experiences.

"We currently have 3,000 employees working in India," John Chambers told reporters on the sidelines of a company event.
Cisco had earlier said it would shift 20% of its top management staff across all functions to India by 2012

I am happy to report that the USCIS has approved the P-1B visa application that I filed on behalf of Superman is Dead (http://www.supermanisdead.net/), an Indonesian band, that will be appearing on Warped Tour �09 (http://www.warpedtour.com/warpedtour/index.asp).

Hi, my friend have not receive her fingerprint, her husband filed for I-485 on june 2007. their PD is 2004-ROW. their case forwarded into TSC. do you think this is normal ? what is the possible solution for this issue ?

Hi, I have/had valid I-94 all the time. Recently I renewed my passport in US. But I renewed it 3 months after expiry of old one. I heard from friends that, you need to have valid passport for the entire period of H1B petition validity. Wondering, If am in trouble for not renewing my passport before it expired. Please give your opinions.

I was in a similar situation and my lawyer advised to apply for H1 (come April) even without the H4 extension. A query will be sent asking to prove your status until atleast Sep 30th. You can then attach your H4 papers (assuming your H4 extn is approved by then).
Anyway, i am planning to apply for extension using premium processing just to make sure things progress smoothly.

Guys,
Can we file I-485, after August 1 2007 and
before August 17 2007 (as I'm preparing my medicals).Is there a chance USCIS stop taking the application after July 31 2007 by giving some crap reason?Also I understand that filing fee is same for I-485 until August 17 2007.Is that true even for I-765 and I-131.Please clarify.

I have a question regarding location change with same employer. I have labor approved on EB2 India with PD 01/2005. I am employed with a big health care firm which has various locations in the region. I'd like to move to another location which is 30 miles away from my present site. I140 is pending with the same employer. I have also posed this question to my lawyer but appreciate greatly if anyone knows answer to this. Will this affect my GC?

I�m currently on H1B, I'm planning to go back to my country for an extended period.
Few queries
1) Can my employer keep my H1B open and show that the job is available for me? If so, for how long can employer do that?
I may go for six months, year or more, depending on circumstances.
2) If after a year a new H1B is filled, by the same employer (given that old H1B cannot be opened for long) will I be able to utilize the old quota or would have to file in new quota.
3) If I come back after a year, does the 6 year counter restarted? ie. the limit of working for six years on H1B.
4) If my employer cancels my H1B, and after six-months or a year, a different company files a petition for H1B, will the petition fall in old quota? Or will have to wait to be filed in new quota for that financial year?
If someone could answer my queries and help me decide, it will be very helpful.

HI All,
I currently work for a desi consulting company and applied for H1B Extension.I applied H1B Extension with Current Client Letter and also a copy of PO.But my contract may end in a month or so.I am near to finalising a new contract oppurtunity which if seleted needed to join immediately.Now if i change the job does it effect my pending H1B extension.
I am not changing my consulting company who holds visa i am only changing client.As i already submitted client letter and PO i am kind of nervous if i get RFE regarding the current client, which i may not be able to answer it.Waiting for your valuable feedback.

Background Check:
1. The Interagency Border Inspection System (IBIS) Name Check
2. FBI Fingerprint Check - Completed - USCIS message
3. FBI Name Checks
I went for my 3rd FP 2 months back.
My question is, Whenever the Finger Print expired in 15 months,
Will ALL 3 of the above background checks be validated again OR ONLY FP validated every 15 months?

I have a question regarding transferring my H1b. My scenario is i am on my 7th year of my H1b and it is expiring on Oct 2007. My current employer will be filing an extension of 3 years based on my approved I-140 in the month of June 2007. If everything goes well i will get my three year extension(2007-2010) by Aug 2007.
Question is
1) If i get a new job opportunity after 3 year approval ( start date will be Oct 2007) can i transfer it to my new employer by aug or i have to wait till the start date of H1 approval?
2) When can i start working for the new company?
Any response will be appreciated.
