I have applied for AP (I131) on 8/14/09 and my I-485 got approved on 9/01/09. Is USCIS is going to return my I131 fee or is there anything I have to initiate from my end to get the refund?.

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) reports that no later than April 30, 2010, all non-immigrant visa applicants worldwide will be required to use web-based form DS-160. The DS-160 form will combine the previous forms DS-156 and DS-157 and 158. This is the latest update as of Tuesday, April 6, 2010, Vermont Service Center, as of close of business on Monday, April 5, 2010, VSC had received a total of 9,525 cap-subject H-1B petitions. Of those petitions, 6,791 were "regular" cap, and 2,734 were advanced degree. All cases received before April 7, 2010, will have an April 7, 2010 receipt date. Those received on April 7, 2010 or later will bear the actual receipt date. For those submitted for Premium Processing, the clock will start on April 7, 2010. We will update once we have the California Service Center Numbers.

I have added my wife to green card application. Can you please let me know when she can expect receipt notice and Fingerprint Notice and when she can expect her GC. TSC is processing my/her application. My Priority Date is in Aug 1st 2006.
I am one of the ones who had missed the July 07 boat. My PD is finally current.
My attorney is getting ready to file all the items (485, EAD, AP etc) tomorrow.
How soon can I expect the FP Notice?
Also, since I am applying only now, how long before I can hope to see Green?

Hi all,
I got my labour approved in Jun'07 and applied for my I-140 in Aug'07 and have been waiting for it to be approved since then. I have not yet applied for I-485. Also,I am almost reaching my 6th year of H1-B visa(FYI:I have not got my visa stamped yet).
Now my questions are,
1) Will I be able to switch my employer now that I am in my 6th yr of H1-B.
2) If it's OK to switch, how many months are supposed to be left on H1-B visa to transfer to another employer.
3) What will happen if my present employer revokes my GC application.
4) When is the best time to switch as I will get 3 yrs of extension once I-140 is approved.
5) Will I be able to retain my priority date if my employer revokes my GC application.
Please do respond. I look forward to your replies.

I am currently on H1B through company A previously I was working for Company B before that was working for Company C.
I transferred my H1B from C->B->A, Because of current Economy now my employer(Company C) is saying that if I lose my current project at client location he is going to cancel my H1.
If that happens can I go back to B Or C company, as My previous companies never cancelled my H1.
Appreciate any help here.

Yes, you don't have to be in the US while the 485 is pending. You will need to be here for any appointments - fingerprinting, interview, etc. You also need to intend to be a permanent resident and work in the position listed on the I-140 (assuming this is an employment-based case). CIS might issue an RFE on the 485, asking for evidence of this, so you need to be able to provide it.
