Illegal non-immigrants did the rally to local USCIS offices. It would be good if we pick one day in 2nd week of July and have a rally to local USCIS offices. This will immediately catch the media attention.
Rally news should be spread out to media so we can get enough coverage?

Hi,
My wife had a EAD and it is expiring in October 08 and my wife's H4 is expiring in August 08. I got a mail from my employer to renew my H1 and my wife's H4 status as both are expiring in August.
I am planning to extend my wife's EAD Next week as she had plans to work.
My question is, is it advisable to extend my wife H4 also? Is there any problem because both applications (H4 and EAD) will processed by uscis at the same almost time.
Please advice.

Today I got an SLUD on my pending 485 after almost more than a year. Last one was from July, 2008 (address change). Don't understand what exactly is going on. For RFEs are there usually SLUDs before? or just an hard LUD with message change? Anyone in same boat? :confused:

My Wife had her COS from H4-H1, and I filed my I-485 in July with my wife as secondary applicant and already got our EAD,AP. We are planning to Visit India this month and my wife wants to use her AP while travelling back to US.
1. Is it advisable or are there any issues with using AP.
2. Can she use AP that she received as a secondary applicant and continue to work on H1B with her current employer
3. In Case her Status changes to EAD, can we reinstate her H1B at any point in time without counted against H1B Cap.
Pl Advise.

Hi ,
I am going to tgransfer my H1 b with new employer .
My employer is going for normal processing and I asked him for premium processing as my project is going to end by Aug 2009 . Then My employer informed me that there are lot of RFEs for premium processing . Is it true ?
Please suggest whether I should go for premium or not ?

Encouraging. Darryl Issa, the powerful new GOP House Oversight Committee Chair, has introduced this bill in the past, but with the change in party control, he's got a lot more clout this time around. Issa is proposing replacing the green card lottery's annual green card allotment with a new green card category for US-educated graduates in the science, technology, math and engineering fields. Frankly, the lottery is a program that is always under attack and I'd rather see the program's numbers go to increasing either the family or employment categories. Your PD must be current and 485 filing date (which is also called RD - received date) should be close to USCIS processing times. Currently, I believe that USCIS is working on applications that it received in July 2007.
But it is USCIS :D - miracles happen!!! Last year, they approved 2006 PD cases while applicants with 2003/2004/2005 were waiting :D Good luck.

The I-131 Form update date shown by NSC is 10/18, whereas many of the folks are still awaiting their AP's...and even Texas says I-131 processing date current....So how come majority of them still waiting for AP ??

Completed my 6 years on H1B and returned back to India on personal reasons.
1. When I apply for a new H1B after 1 year break, does the H1B comes under the quota or will it be considered on previously held H1B quota.
2. How sure about getting approval of H1B.

I am working for a MNC and I got L1 visa stamped. After marriage I got my H4 visa stamped.(After L1 stamping) But the Visa officials have not marked the L1 visa cancelled in the passport, does it mean that the Visa is still valid? Does that mean that i can still travel on my L1 visa?
