Everyone can apply until August 17, but in the August VB, all the categories are U, which means no one is current and who knows when that will change. When processing, theoretically RD it's important, but when you get to the stage of being approved, you'll actually be approved only if your PD will be current at that time. Don't count too much on any guidelines, because some people get approved in weeks,others in years. Good luck.

I got the same message on 4th jan and received the AP documents from my employer today..probably it may take 10 days to receive from USCIS through Attorney/Employer..don't worry..you will receive on time...

We filed EB2 (Rest of the World) 140/485 on May 18th and 140 already got approved on May 24, 485 is still pending. I also have Eb3 Labor and 140 approved (Dec 2005) and we transfer Priority Date of old EB3 case Sep 2005 of EB3 to EB2. So my question is if this Bill becomes a law then what will happen to my case?

Folks,
This is just a suggestion. Talk to your local Sears/Macys/Food4Less/etc/Indian Groceries / Deals2buy.com to collaborate in purchasing the coupons so that people can go get the coupons and present it to the respective stores. In the process say get a portion of it being contributed to IV. Work out some percentage model in which case it would be easier for people to contribute that extra amount instead of separately pulling out their card (people are lethargic to do this) and contributing to the google check out fund drive. Of course the other one is just another supplement of getting funds

More than willing as well...lol! You know what to do, ei and don't give me RFE.....you can interview me but soon after give me GC....
LOL. :) If I am a volunteer as an IO, I would get the names of all IV members, write a small script to approve their GCs, make sure the cards are delivered to the members, and immediately resign my job. :D

I share your pain buddy.I also miss the July 2007 fiasco by 1 month due to my &^@#$% lawyer who took 1 year to apply for labor and kept me in dark .The most painful thing is to see my wife's frustration who inspite of job offers can't join becoz company does not want to sponsor.Just being optimistic is the only hope.

The VB is now an monthly sadness event, even my wife is waiting for EAD, in the current time its almost impossible to get a job if one needs sponsorship read H1, despite being well qualified and having work experience. Also if we have EAD you probably would not have to go through H1B Extension (RFE's), I had to undergo this as well, fortunately my stamping was smooth. Until our day comes we just have to wait, I think the only chance is the new proposed 485 filing procedure when its implemented.

Have you given a thought or spoken to a lawyer about starting EB2 PERM when your EB3 140 is pending? After your EB2 PERM is approved, you have 6 months before interfiling your EB2 140 with your EB3 PD. I think that is long enough for your EB3 140 too be approved.
AFAIK, this can be done with little or no risk to your EB3.

I have expressed my view/gameplan and even mentioned those who like can take anything out of it...
all those who are asking for donation..would you be happy if I donate a 1000$...why not make IV a paysite :D
Anyone who wants to get in have to pay at the gate :D so much for free-forum
I dont want to list here all the charities and social stuff I do just because a bunch of morons demand donation...hahaha sounds like ganesh festival donation demand :D
just know that we all do stuff in our lives oneway or other to give back to society...
And the losers who could get 15% investment and mock other who got more...please grow up...world is much bigger than your box

No one knows why people who are eligible for AC21 portability are going through this.
When I discussed this issue at my congresswoman's immigration specialist, he asked me why do you think USCIS is doing this? So - basically no one knows.
