I have been working in DFT/Test field for few years now and it appears that my current group is leaning more and more towards Test Development for SOCs and less in DFT work. I really would like to pursue DFT as a career and have been looking for a job in DFT field. Not only that, moving to a newer company might help me in getting the green card faster; possibly.
Is anyone here working in the DFT field? If so, do you know of any job openings in your group or anywhere else for that matter?
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Current EAD was supposed to expire in Feb so applied 100 days ahead for renewal. To my surprise application got approved in 10 days:D. Hope they've given for 2 years and starting from expiry date of current one....

Hi All
Can anyone please tell me,
when i had downloaded the "May-Preview" and "August-Preview" of expression Blend, it has 3 options for "New Project Type" :
1. Standard EXE
2. Control Library and
3. Silverlight Application (Java Script)
But when i downloaded and upgraded with the latest version, the last option (SilverLight Application) is not there.
Can anyone please tell me,

As pappu stated in the first post of the above referenced thread - some of the ongoing efforts include finding how many IV members would get benefit from such a provision and get basic details such as username/Priority Date of impacted members. Future action items might include drafting documents and letters to support this provision. There maybe actions such as sending emails etc. However we would not be able to open a public action item unless we can have thousands of our members willing to participate in a grassroots action item. This survey intends to understand the needs of our membership for this provision and collect grassroots information.
The fact is we have a dedicated group of volunteers (and we need more) who have been trying their best to spread the message about this initiative so that a strong grass-roots support can be created leading up to launch of the public action items. So far we have around 1100 people who have responded. Based on quick calculations carried out using PERM data, it is estimated that there are at least 60K-70K EB applicants waiting to file I-485/EAD/AP (this is a very conservative estimate..the actual number could be much more). Grass-roots initiatives require time and patience and we request maximum number of impacted folks to participate actively.

You should get to talk to USCIS coz this is wrong for sure......USCIS should issue you a new EAD with no additional cost.........Even if you do not plan to use EAD card get the issue fixed.......

The early retirement of US Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) has opened up an appointment opportunity for Governor Charlie Crist, himself a candidate for Martinez's seat. Crist will likely not appoint himself and a number of names are circulating for potential replacements. A reader sent me a link to a post at the The Future of Capitalism blog reminding folks that being pro-immigration fits right in to a conservative agenda: David Cameron, the British "Conservative" Party leader who favors a top income tax rate of 50%, also wants immigration restrictions that would limit Great Britain's population over the next 20 years to 70 million. Hello everyone,
I had filed for my I485 on 19th July at Nebraska. My 90 days are getting over on 19th Oct. Still I have not received any receipts for I-485,EAD,I-131.
My lawyer is going to call USCIS to inquire about my case.
Does any one had experience calling USCIS after 90 days were over and the USCIS tracked your application and you got your receipts.
Would be great if any one can share there experiences.

I am a US Citizen and will be filing a petition (i 130) to bring my mother over on a greencard.
Recently on her visit to the US on a visitor visa she was marked as NO AOS/COS/EOS on her I - 94
and she left by the date specified on her i - 94.
My question is will it have any effect on her GC petition and what is the current wait time for consular processing on an i-130 petition

(1) I have applied for my OPT very recently with a start date of oct1, 2007 and its in the processing stage.
(2) I am planning to apply(say by August 1st, 2007) for 140/485 concurrently in EB2-NIW category, as the PDs have become current.
Will my OPT be rejected because of the pending 485? Is it possible to file 140/485 concurrent or should I wait till my OPT is approved (by that time the PDs will no longer be current...hmmm). Your valuable suggestions are needed. Pls help me....

If a person travels on AP, he will get a new PAROLE I-94 which shows expiry date of 1 year from the day he entered on AP. Can the person stay in US AFTER that expiry date and continue working using a valid I-797?
