16th congressional district - volunteers needed
Calling for Nor Cal volunteers in the 16th congressional district.

We were given advice to meet with Hon. Zoe Lofgren the congresswoman for this district. As we as being an immigration attorney, she is Chairperson of the Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security, and International Law.
We need to visit her!

If H1B extension gets denied and my employer will appeal it. My questions are
1. Can I allowed to work until I decision is made on appeal?
2. If appeal is denied, from when I will be consider as out of status? (from I-94 expiry date or appeal decision date)
3. After appeal denial what is the grace period to leave the US?
4. Can same employer is allow to file another H1 petition for me?

Currently on H1 and working. EAD renewal came with first name and last name interchanged, Can I use it to work for a new employer ?

My sister, as part of submitting documents for her fiance visa application, recently got a birth certificate. However, it doesn't have her name on it. Odd as it sounds, the municipality says that this is common practice. It just has the name of the parents.
Is this acceptable for a fiance visa? Thanks.

We filed a H4 to H1 Change of Status petition for my wife. The file was opened and processed by USCIS and a RFE was issued. Due to some family situation, we had to withdraw the H1 petition instead of replying to the RFE.
My question is: Is the security/anti-fraud fee ($1500) returned by USCIS in such cases. We applied through a big consulting company.

Hi,
In the process of renewing EAD, I realized that I got 2 EAD cards. One is through my own i-485. The second one was piggy-back from my spouse's i-485. To renew it, should I renew both?
The reason of two i-485 is a long story. Mine is EB-2, thus shorter retrogression. But back then, my job was shaky. At a matter of fact, I left the company before 180 days after i-485. I got I-140 later from the employer though.
So i applied another i-485 with my spouse's EB-3 i-485, thus another EAD.
I don't want to abandon my I-485 or my spouse's I-485. Should I apply to renew both EADs?

I have extended my H1B (approval received) but my visa stamp expires in June 06. I have EAD (not using it) and plan to apply for AP. If I travel outside the country (with AP, of course), do I need to get a new HIB visa stamp to reenter? Can I show my AP, and 485 pending papers to come in as a parolee and still retain my H1B? Or my H1B status will get cancelled if I use AP?
I hear conflicting opinions from different people and I don't when I would be need to travel to India for family reasons. If anybody has been in a similar situation, please let me know your experience.

6 users are maybe same person owner/employee of others sites? They lose money for IV success. So hate IV.
Yes exactly. one of them is most likely the moderator of the forum. The rest are likely paid by someone, I won't be surprised it they're from other immigration forums or competing lawyer websites. Out of tens of thousands only these 6 consistently speak against IV.
I don't care them but they are influencing others to believe in them.
I believe same. Those minds are not only selfish but they are really really cruel, cunning and they don't deserve to be part of american dream.. All they care is their green card...
Yes I feel no one can be that cruel consistently, they have to be pros in bad PR. Its just a joke - I have been tracking :) one user create 5 IDs and use the same broken english over 3 months. Its also highly likely some of them are paid by that website itself
